1. About These Terms

These terms apply to the use of this website and to the professional services provided by Rafi Ullah Khan, MAAT, trading as Accountancy Chamber ("we", "us", "our"), based in Slough, United Kingdom. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Our Services

We provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax, payroll and related services to individuals and businesses. The specific scope of work for each client is set out in a written proposal and engagement letter agreed before work begins. These website terms do not, on their own, create a client relationship.

3. Fees and Payment

Our fees are fixed and agreed with you in writing before work starts — there are no hourly billing surprises. Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to pause work where invoices remain unpaid after reminder. Any disbursements (third-party costs) incurred on your behalf will be recharged at cost.

4. Your Responsibilities

To enable us to serve you properly, you agree to:

• Provide complete and accurate information and records in a timely manner;
• Inform us of any changes to your circumstances that affect your accounts or tax position;
• Review and approve drafts we send before submission where your approval is required.

We rely on the information you supply. We cannot accept responsibility for errors, penalties or liabilities arising from incomplete, inaccurate or late information provided to us.

5. Our Responsibilities and Liability

We perform all services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable professional standards. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law. Our liability for any single claim is limited to the fees paid to us for the relevant service, except in cases of fraud or deliberate wrongdoing, or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

6. Anti-Money Laundering

We are required by UK law to carry out client identity checks and to maintain anti-money laundering procedures. We may request identification documents before work begins and we have statutory reporting obligations which, where applicable, we must fulfil without disclosure to you.

7. Data Protection

We process your personal data in accordance with UK data protection law and our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store and protect your information.

8. Complaints

We aim to provide a consistently high standard of service. If something falls short, please tell us at raf@accountancychamber.com so we can put it right. We will acknowledge any complaint promptly and work with you to resolve it fairly and quickly.

9. Ending the Engagement

Either party may end the engagement by giving written notice. You remain responsible for fees relating to work carried out up to the date of termination, and we will take reasonable steps to hand over your records in an orderly manner.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in full force. Any changes to these terms will be published on this page.
